The distinction I was missing: a wetter winter is not necessarily a snowier one, and El Niño’s influence varies by region.
Why I looked this up
I wanted to understand whether “stronger El Niño” really translates into “more snow.” Those ideas can sound interchangeable, but I did not want to turn a broad climate pattern into a prediction for my own winter.
